Rachel and Caleb’s wedding day was a joyful, Christ-centered celebration. Set against the rustic charm of Fort Osage Christmas Tree Farm in Independence, Missouri, their early March wedding was touched by something special — just a few weeks prior, the farm was blanketed in snow. But by the time their big day arrived, it had all melted away, revealing soft green grass, mild temperatures, and the unmistakable promise of spring.
The day began with getting-ready moments at the venue, where Rachel was surrounded by her bridesmaids and closest family. Laughter and warmth filled the space as I captured all the sweet details and connection of the morning. Rachel shared heartfelt first looks with her dad and her bridesmaids, and my second photographer and I teamed up to make sure every expression and embrace was preserved.
Meanwhile, Caleb spent the morning with his groomsmen, captured by my second photographer — including a tender first look with both his mom and dad. One of the most meaningful touches of the day? Caleb’s dad also stood by his side as his best man.
Once Rachel and Caleb were ready, we stepped outside among the pines for their private first look. They read their handwritten vows to one another with tearful smiles — one of those quiet, unhurried moments that felt as sacred as the ceremony itself. Afterward, we transitioned into family portraits and full wedding party photos, followed by a fun little getaway car session that felt so classic and celebratory.
As guests began to arrive, Rachel and Caleb tucked away while we photographed the ceremony space and captured friends and loved ones arriving. Their ceremony was beautifully gospel-centered, full of reverence, truth, and joy. Surrounded by trees and their community, Rachel and Caleb entered into marriage with hearts completely centered on Christ.
After the ceremony, we snuck away for a few newlywed portraits while cocktail hour began. The reception unfolded with warmth and joy — starting with dinner and heartfelt speeches, followed by the sweetest first dances and a packed-out dance floor full of laughter and celebration. As golden hour approached, we snuck out once more for romantic sunset photos before returning them to the party.
Before I packed up for the evening, I handed Rachel and Caleb a small keepsake — a set of printed Polaroids from their day and a little album to take home something tangible. To end the night, guests lined up and sent Rachel and Caleb off with a joyful bubble exit, one of the most fun and photogenic moments of the day.
